Assumption of Risk

I recognize and understand the risks of physical injury inherent to dance and dance training and I fully assume those risks. I hereby release KC IRISH DANCE, LLC, dba The Driscoll School of Irish Dance, its affiliate dance studios, event sponsors, employees, dance teachers, and volunteers from all liability for injuries sustained or illnesses contracted by me while attending or participating in any dance classes, workshops, or performances.

I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Driscoll School of Irish Dance, its affiliate dance studios, event sponsors, employees, dance teachers, and volunteers for liabilities, costs and judgments arising from acts of omissions committed by me which result in injury or damage to any person or property. I understand and agree that it is my sole responsibility to safeguard my personal property while attending or participating in any classes, workshops, performances, or related activities.

I hereby release The Driscoll School of Irish Dance, its affiliate dance studios, event sponsors, employees, dance teachers, and volunteers from all liability for loss or damage to my personal property while attending or participating in classes or dance workshops, performances or related activities. I also agree to abide by any rules, regulations and policies set forth by The Driscoll School of Irish Dance. As a registered observer, I acknowledge and understand that individual Faculty members may prohibit videography or the taking of photos in their classes or any events that I am admitted to. I agree that I will honor any such restrictions imposed and I will not hold The Driscoll School of Irish Dance responsible nor will I expect an adjustment or reduction in any fees I have paid or agree to pay.

In case of physical injury or medical emergency, I hereby authorize The Driscoll School of Irish Dance to make necessary arrangements to transport my child or me to a medical treatment facility as necessary. All such transportation and medical treatment will be at my sole cost and expense. In extreme emergency, or if I am under 18 years of age, I understand that The Driscoll School of Irish Dance will attempt to notify the person(s) I have named as my emergency contact(s) of my condition and how to reach me.

In signing this release, I acknowledge and represent that I have fully informed myself of the content of the waiver and hold harmless agreement by reading it before I sign it, and I understand that I sign this document as my own free act and deed; no oral representations, statements, or inducements, apart from the written statement, have been made. I further state that I am at least eighteen (18) years of age and fully competent to sign this agreement; and that I execute this release for full, adequate, and complete consideration fully intending to be bound by the same. I further state that there are no health-related reasons or problems that preclude or restrict my participation in this activity, and that I will pay any medical costs that may be attendant as a result of injury to me.

Media Waiver

The Driscoll School of Irish Dance reserves the right to use photographs, taken either in class or of students participating in class and/or performances and/or feiseanna, for the purposes of instruction, advertising and promoting The Driscoll School of Irish Dance and it's programs. Students, or parents of students who are minors, who do not wish to comply with this policy must notify a representative of The Driscoll School of Irish Dance prior to registering in a class.

Absence & Make Up Policy

Dancers have the option to make up missed classes within 2 months of the missed class and must be made up within the same session as the missed class. Makeup classes do not extend into future sessions. Many makeup classes can be scheduled by the parent/dancer in the Parent Portal unless the makeup class is not a direct match to the missed class. The makeup class must be of equal or lesser value to the missed class. Makeup classes may be self scheduled up to 1 hour prior to the desired makeup class and may be scheduled as far as 4 weeks in advance. Missed classes that are not made up will not be refunded.

Payment Policies

Due Dates & Frequency

Class Tuition is due on the 15th of each month. Tuition listed for weekly classes indicates the monthly tuition fee. Monthly tuition rate remains the same regardless of class frequency in a given month. Multi-Class and Multi-Student family discounts are applied where applicable (see discounts below).

Any class adjustments or class drops must be made prior to the 15th of each month. Class tuition will not be refunded for changes that are not communicated before the 15th.

Camp and Workshop Tuition is a one time fee due at the time of registration, unless indicated otherwise. Cancellation up to 14 days in advance will result in a refund, less $5 for processing fees. Cancellation less than 14 days in advance of the camp or workshop will result in 50% refund. Multi-Student discounts will be applied where applicable. Multi-Class discounts do not apply to Camps & Workshops.

Discounts

Multi-Class – Dancers attending more than one class per week will have a15% discount applied to the second class of lesser value and all subsequent classes.
Multi-Student – For families with multiple dancers, 20% discount will be applied to the 2nd dancer, 40% for the 3rd dancer and 50% for all subsequent dancers. The discount will be applied to the lowest tuition dancers first.

Both discounts will be applied to families that are eligible for both Multi-Class and Multi-Student.

All discounts are applied after tuition is posted. Multi-Class discounts do not apply to Camps and Workshops.

*Cardholders give the school permission to charge their credit card or bank account provided

Surcharge

In an effort to cover the costs of credit card processing fees, we will charge 2.89% to every transaction paid with a Visa, Mastercard, or Discover credit card. This does not apply to ACH payments.

Late Fees

Tuition not paid by the 15th of the month will be subject to a $25 late fee. Dancers may be barred from class until account is current.

ACH Return Fee

ACH payments returned for insufficient funds will be charged at $25 fee.
