About the Driscoll School
of Irish Dance

The Driscoll School promotes a healthy, balanced lifestyle for all dancers, and we welcome new beginners throughout the year.  We pride ourselves on being a renowned program that gives children self-confidence, poise, and a fit body and mind both on and off the dance floor. Driscoll is a family friendly school where your child will learn the skill of Irish Dance while building character, having fun and developing lifelong friendships.  Our teachers genuinely care about the students and want to build relationships with the dancers and their families.  Each dancer is different and we respect those differences and work with the individual to reach the dancer’s goals.

Driscoll Irish Dance classes are taught to children and adults of all ages with an emphasis on individual attention. The Driscoll School of Irish Dance is a member of An Coimisiun le Rinci Galeacha (CLRG), the governing body of Irish Dance, and our lead instructors are all certified teachers within the organization.

The school believes in building self-esteem and self-fulfillment of students through positive reinforcement and encouragement. Dancers have the opportunity to take part in public performances such as festivals, cultural celebrations, private events, the St. Patrick’s Day Parades, and television appearances. The Driscoll Dancers also take part in local, regional, national, and world competitions.

Our lead instructors are certified Irish dance teachers affiliated with An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha and are known as a T.C.R.G., which is the abbreviation for the Gaelic Teagascóir Choimisiúin le Rinci Gaelacha.

“I first saw Irish dancing when I was 5 and I was hooked. I remember doing skip-2-3’s out to the car! I was always very shy growing up, except when I was dancing so I felt I was an unlikely candidate for an assistant teacher but when asked to help, I jumped on the opportunity and haven’t looked back since. I feel so lucky that I get to do what I love every day and love being able to share that with my students.”.

“It is so exciting to see that fire light up inside each dancer and the joy that they get from this amazing art form and culture. I also gain such joy when you see a dancer progress and achieve their goals no matter how large or small they might be. Irish dance provides a lot of personal challenges, like dancing by oneself or performing in public, and I love it when a dancer is able to grow in their confidence and perseverance and achieve their goals.”
