CLASSES

Whether very young or just young at heart, we have a class for you!

GETTING STARTED

CLASSES:  Dancers who are new to Irish dance will typically start in the New Beginner or Pre-Beginner class level.  Dancers 18 and older will start in an adult class.  Some older teen dancers may find the adult class to be a better fit.

ATTIRE:  Our classes are casual.  Any modest work out attire is acceptable.  Most dancers wear t-shirts with shorts, skorts or leggings.

SHOES:  Dancers do not need Irish dance shoes to start classes.  Information about where to buy shoes and socks is provided at class and used shoes are available for purchase at the studio.

TUITION:  Tuition is based on the total number of weeks in the session and then divided into monthly installments.  The monthly installment price is detailed in the class listings.  Total cost is in the class description.  Tuition is posted and billed on the 15th of each month or can be paid in full at the start of the session.  Family Discounts and Multi-Class Discounts are applied after tuition fees are posted.

COSTUMES & PERFORMANCES:   Once dancers have mastered some of the basics, they will be eligible for some performance opportunities around town.  School costumes are provided to dancers at a nominal rental fee.  Performance is a very important part of sharing our culture, builds confidence and is fun!

COMPETITIONS:  When ready, dancers are invited to participate in Irish dance competitions, called a feis [fesh].  Families decide how many feisanna they attend each year.  The Driscoll Dancers host The Sunflower Feis each spring.

COVID-19 GUIDELINES:  We're doing everything we can to keep our students and instructors safe and healthy.  All in person classes are socially distanced.  Our instructors wear masks at all times and dancers are instructed when they may remove their masks after being shown their dance space.  Shared surfaces are disinfected after every lesson. Doors are designated for entry and exit.  Studio access is limited to dancers and instructors.  A full list of procedures is available on our COVID Guidelines page.
